Employee Performance Issues
Identifying issues and responding appropriately
This session focuses on certain basic barriers to positive employee performance and offers tips on how to deal with each.
• Is the performance problem a motivational issue? If so, is it sudden or ongoing? Is it job related or is it an outside influence?
• Is the performance problem a training issue? How do you tell? Besides traditional classroom training, what else can be provided?
• Is the performance problem an environmental issue? If you have an employee with a positive attitude and high job skill, who is performing poorly, it could easily be outside of that person’s control. How do you know?
• Is the performance problem a placement issue? Did you simply hire the wrong person in the first place? How do you avoid making the same mistake again?
These questions will all be answered through tips provided in the session and audience discussion.
