 AEI Designation Conferment

The new AEI designees and Silver and Gold Award recipients are invited to attend the AEI Designation Conferment along with their registered guest. AEI designees and award recipients to be recognized include those registrants who earned a designation between January 1, 2022 and April 10, 2023 and who register to attend the conference on or before April 10, 2023. If you have any question whether you are a recipient, please contact an AEI Representative at scla@aeiclaimslaw.com before noon on May 3rd 2023.

 Continuing Education

Although not guaranteed, we are applying for continuing education in Louisiana, Texas and Florida for select technical sessions. Please indicate on the registration form if you are interested in continuing education credits (adjusters credits only) in Louisiana, Texas, Florida or all three.

Additional Information regarding CE credits:

State departments of insurance regulate the CEU program for the insurance industry and require adherence to certain rules as a prerequisite to the receipt of CEU credit for adjusters. Florida, Louisiana and Texas CEU credit will be available for select sessions. To obtain credit, attendees must register at the Registration Desk and obtain a packet containing all of the rules, list of all courses approved for CEU credit, and required forms. It is imperative each attendee sign their name on the class roster and must be validated by the classroom volunteer at each class attended upon entry and exit of each class. Each attendee is responsible for providing the necessary documentation to the SCLA by the required date provided in the CEU packet or credit may be forfeited.

Questions regarding CEU credit while at the Conference should be directed to a member of the Conference Staff who will be available at the Registration Desk. Questions regarding continuing education credit after the Conference should be emailed to scla@aeiclaimslaw.com.

 Dress Code

Dress for the conference is casual to business casual (just be comfortable).

Business casual dress typically includes slacks or khakis, dresses or skirts, dress shirt or blouse, and open-collar or polo shirt. Company logo shirts are encouraged. Jeans and dress shorts are fine.

Suits, ties and sport coats are discouraged, even for our exhibitors and speakers. This is New Orleans. Relax!

It can be helpful to dress in layers as the outside temperatures may be very warm, but the conference rooms are kept cool.

Airboat Adventures Swamp Tour

Join us for a high speed Airboat Ride and Louisiana swamp tour. You'll be touring 20,000 acres of tidewater cypress swamp. It’s a dynamic ecosystem supporting many types of aquatic and moist-soil vegetation, as well as a diverse wildlife population. You will be immersed in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world as you go through the swamp and into the bayous lined with moss-draped cypress and tupelo-gum trees. During your nearly two-hour tour you’ll have opportunities to see alligators, snakes, turtles, egrets, herons and ibis, and sometimes hawks, owls and bald eagles. $90 per person.
